Appeals

Home » The Prosecutorial Process » Appeals

Appeals courtIf convicted, a defendant may file an appeal.

There are strict time limits for the filing of a notice of appeal. There are rare occasions where a late filing of an appeal may be excused by the court. Do not take any chances on filing a late notice of appeal. You are not ensured the court will excuse the late filing.

Appeals may result in the reversal of a person’s trial court conviction.
